Troy Bar

The Troy Bar is a intimate Music Venue perfect for low key live events, last night I saw a eclectic selection at their New Rhythm night for Live music on Sept 30th the two stand out performers for me were:

Lykez - Championed by Dazed & confused as the next Dizzie I would say more a UK Missy..Feisty Lady with attitude but with a twinkle in her eye with a great command of the audience she had everyone on their feet chanting about fake hair with lines such as "You bought it, you sort it " - you didn't dare refuse - go check it!!

also a shout out to

Benjamin Lewis
Songwriter formerly singer in Filthy Youth indie, punk band. Showcasing songs for his new project Mermaid Theatre a short and very enthusiastic gutsy set, rocking and Indie , this guy won't lie down until he gets to where he wants to go..

The other acts Karin Fasson and Oliver Kelham provided well crafted quality sweet acoustic vocals and Jazz, soul piano based strong intense tunes respectively.

If New Rhythm keeps up this quality of live acts I can't wait for the next one at The Troy Bar on Oct 14th.

Ever thought celebrities have it easy? Not this time...Now it’s their turn to do some work!

A new club night, CelebriParty launching at London’s Indig02 invites the public to get up close and personal to their idols in a totally unique way.

In a clubbing first, partygoers will see their favourite stars working the door, serving the drinks, spinning the tunes and performing on the night.

The launch on Saturday September 5th is a CelebriParty Big Brother Special and already secured are many of the show’s past housemates and winners including Nikki Grahame, Dale Howard, Kathreya Kasisopa, Darnell Swallow, Rebecca Shiner, Luke Marsden, Stuart Hosking, Sylvia Barrie and Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace. The day after the current massive Big Brother eviction, 30 BB housemates will be working and hosting CelebriParty in their own unique way.

Since opening its doors on July 2nd 2007 with a stunning performance from Jools Holland, Indig02 has witnessed show-stopping sets from The Who, Chaka Khan, Ne-Yo, Estelle, T-Pain and Buster Rhymes as well as the legendary Prince after-show parties and The Eagles Album Launch.

Located in Zone 2, Indig02 has great travel links - 4 stops on the Jubilee Line from London Bridge - as well as the fast and frequent Thames Clippers boat service that runs every 20 minutes from all London piers. Car parking is also a snip at just £5 all night.
